unanswered were my calls
the dreams we saw lie shattered
my confidence in love, again, battered
where do i run ?

now the sun shines, but the light is dim

cobwebs grace the space, tears grace my eyes
with another piece chipped, time flies
just yesterday we spoke of tomorrow
